What is Report ? How to Write a Report?
Actually a report is a clearly structured document that presents information as clearly and succinctly as possible. A report is written for a particular purpose and to a particular audience and the data is available.
According to Oxford English Dictionary " A Report is a statement of the result of given assignment on which definite information is required.
To write a report we have to mention some stage , These are below;
Title Page
In the first report writing process title of the report clearly states the purpose of the report. Full detail of the person for whom the report was prepared with including the person, who made the report should be included. At the end of the title page mention the date of submission.
Table of Content
Table of content is the list of content in the main body of the report with a serial wised page numbers, Make sure the current page number are shown clearly and accordingly.
Acknowledgement
This is a short paragraph thinking any person, organization, or a institution which gave you support and help in collection data.
Executive Summery
Executive summery or abstract is quiet different from that of an introduction.It provides a quick overview of the entire report, Including its purpose, context, method of work, major findings conclusion and recommendation.
Introduction
Introduction provides a brief discussion on the background information with a context for the report. introduction states the purpose of the report.It outlines the issues that are to be discussed in the report.
Body
The body, the literature review and methodology are the most important parts, that takes place in the report writing. Literature review is about different authors opinion and statement of the fact in the report.
Conclusion
Conclusion summaries the key findings from the discussion by analyzing the result. conclusion should not be detailed more than one page.
Recommendation
Recommendation provides further suggestions for actions. Your report should be realistic, achievable and clearly relate to the conclusion of the report
